Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has given good news for the people of Mumbai. After the new announcement, from May 1, you can travel in Mumbai Metro trains with 25 percent ticket concession. It has been said that on Metro Line 2A, 7, senior citizens above 65 years of age, persons with disabilities and students up to class 12 can use this facility. CM Eknath Shinde has given this gift to the people here on the occasion of the inauguration day of Maharashtra on 1st May. The CMO said in a statement that this facility is also being extended to thousands of persons who have National Mobility Card (Mumbai One).

Persons with disabilities will have to submit proper documents to avail the concession announced by the government. Medical or government certificate needs to be shown. Senior citizens will have to show proof of age. Students have to show their PAN card, parent's PAN card along with school ID. These are implemented line 2a, 7. Meanwhile, Shinde said his government was providing free travel facility for senior citizens and 50 per cent discount on tickets for women in state transport buses.

Metro 2A (Yellow Line) connects Dahisar A and Doon Nagar in Andheri West, while 7 runs between Andheri A and Dahisar A (Rail Line). A statement issued by the CM's office said that its benefits would be extended to thousands of holders of the National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai One). However, this discount will be for 45 or 60 trips near Mumbai-1 only.
