New Delhi: Relief is reported for the government and the country's economy amid negative news on the ongoing economic slowdown and growth rate in the country. GST collection has turned positive after 2 months of negative growth. GST (GST) collection figures have crossed one lakh crore. This figure has been Rs 1,03,492 crore. Domestic arrivals were the highest 12 per cent for the year and increased by 6 per cent over the previous year.
Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) was recorded at Rs 19,592 crore, while, according to the data, the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) was Rs 27,144 crore, integrated goods and services tax (IGST) was Rs 49,028 crore. Whereas 7,727 crores came from cess. The number of those filing the GSTR 3B return, indicating inward supply and outward supply, was 77.83 lakh.
Total CGST revenue has been recorded at Rs 44,742 crore and SGST revenue at Rs 44,576 crore, including the Center and the state. Although the GST collection has improved on imports, it is still in minus. It has come down to -13 per cent from -20 percent.
