Petrol prices rise, diesel remains stable, know today's rate

On Saturday, petrol prices across the country have repeatedly increased for the second day. However, there has been no change in diesel prices. According to the website of IndianOil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai have increased by five paise per liter. In addition, Chennai has increased by six paise per liter. In the international market, the prices of crude oil had decreased by $ 3 per barrel last week.

According to the website of Indian Oil, on Saturday, the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 74.86 per liter, Rs 77.54 in Kolkata, Rs 80.51 in Mumbai and Rs 77.83 per liter in Chennai. The prices of diesel per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai were Rs 65.78, Rs 68.19, Rs 69 and Rs 69.53 respectively.

On Friday, petrol and diesel retail prices were increased by 4-5 paise and 5-6 paise per liter respectively. It is worth mentioning that the prices of petrol and diesel are the lowest in Delhi as compared to all the metros because tax is less here. Brent crude's February contract on the International Market Intercontinental Exchange was trading at $ 60.75 a barrel, down 3.98 percent from the previous session on Friday. In addition, American Light crude was trading 4.63 percent down at $ 55.42 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
