The majority figure to prove the majority is 145 whereas, the Grand Alliance has 154 MLAs. After this, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly will be elected on Sunday itself. Also, the opposition leader will also be announced. On Sunday, the Governor will also give his address. The majority will be proved at 2 pm today.

The governor gave time till December 3: It is believed that Uddhav Thackeray was given time by the first governor to prove his majority by December 3. But, since taking the oath of Chief Minister, he wants to prove it as soon as possible. It is being said that Thackeray wants to expand the cabinet soon. Before the majority test, Maha Vikas Aghadi has removed BJP's Kalidas Columbkar from the Protem Speaker and NCP's Dilip Valsay Patil has been appointed as the new Protem Speaker. After the political chaos in Maharashtra, on Tuesday, Maha Vikas Aghadi claimed the support of 162 legislators at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
