The Winter Olympics 2022 will begin in Beijing today. On this occasion, Google (Google Doodle) has presented a special animated doodle. The Winter Olympics is scheduled to last for 16 days, with its opening ceremony scheduled to take place today on February 4 and the closing ceremony on February 20. Today's doodle talks about the games to be played at the Winter Olympics. There will be 109 events in this year's Olympics.  

The start of the fortnight-long Winter Olympics will be announced by President Xi Jinping. The US, the European Union and several Western countries have decided to boycott the opening ceremony diplomatically. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pakistan PM Imran Khan, and 30 heads of state and international organisations are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony.

India announced on Thursday that the head of affairs of the Indian embassy in Beijing will not be attending the opening or closing ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Because China has honoured the military commander involved in the Galvan Valley clash by making them the torchbearer of this prestigious sporting event.
