Google Cloud has introduced a range of new programs and partnerships aimed at accelerating the growth of early-stage AI startups in India. These initiatives were unveiled at the AI Startups Summit in Bengaluru, emphasizing Google’s commitment to fostering innovation in artificial intelligence among budding companies.
One of the main highlights is the "Emerging ISV Partner Springboard" program, a 12-week initiative that provides startups with hands-on guidance from Google experts. Participating startups receive support in product refinement, go-to-market strategies, technical advice, and onboarding assistance to the Google Cloud Marketplace.
In addition, Google announced that select early-stage AI startups could receive $200,000 in Google Cloud credits through its Google for Startups Cloud Program. AI-first startups may qualify for even more extensive support, receiving up to $350,000 in credits to help build and expand their cloud-based applications.
Further enhancing its support, Google has partnered with the incubator Y Combinator to give Summer 2024 cohort startups access to NVIDIA H100 GPUs, Google Cloud’s own tensor processing units (TPUs), and cloud credits. This partnership also includes mentorship opportunities, helping startups tap into cutting-edge AI technologies.
Google Cloud has also joined forces with various accelerators and incubators, such as 500, StartX, and Berkeley Skydeck, to provide technical workshops and mentorship to AI entrepreneurs across India. These collaborations aim to deliver practical insights and resources, facilitating growth for AI-focused startups in the region.
As part of its expanding efforts, Google announced a partnership with DeliverHealth, a healthtech startup, to create advanced clinical documentation solutions. Google Cloud’s Gemini 1.5 Pro multimodal AI models will power DeliverHealth’s tools, enabling clinicians to document patient journeys through voice, including notes on lab results and inpatient care.
Through these initiatives, Google Cloud aims to empower AI startups by providing critical resources, mentorship, and technical support, helping them grow and innovate within India’s rapidly evolving AI landscape.
