Nowadays we all use Google Maps to go to new or unknown places. But sometimes it happens that Google Maps shows us such routes which are long and also consume more fuel. Google Maps also has a solution to this problem. There is a special feature inside it which can make your trip fuel efficient. So let's know about this in detail...

What is the Fuel Economy feature of Google Maps?: Google Maps has a setting feature that helps you save fuel during your journey. When you search for a route in Google Maps, you must have noticed that a green leaf-like icon is also visible near the distance. This icon shows that this route is fuel efficient. Through this feature, Google shows you routes that consume less fuel, even if that route is not the fastest. Along with this, this feature also helps in reducing carbon emissions.

Features of Google Maps Fuel Economy feature:
Vehicle-specific route: This feature shows the most fuel-efficient route based on your vehicle type (petrol, diesel, electric or hybrid).

Fuel and Time Savings: This feature also tells you how much fuel can be saved and also calculates the time taken for the trip.

Low Carbon Emission: This feature allows you to take routes that emit less carbon, thus benefiting the environment.

Eco-friendly routes: This feature prioritizes routes that are eco-friendly and better for the environment.
