New Delhi: Corona has increased the trend of 'work from home' all over the world. So companies have now reduced their spending on employees. All the world's giants, including Indian companies, are spending less on the operational front than before. Giant technology giant Google has also gained Rs 7400 crores in the last year due to work from home.
According to Google's parent company, Alphabet Inc's advertising and promotional expenses declined by $1.4 billion in 2020. The company reduced, stopped, or rescheduled campaigns during the corona epidemic. Some events were converted into just digital formats. Travel and entertainment spending fell by $371 million. Google spends a lot of money on the entertainment of employees and their comfort. Google spends huge sums of money to facilitate employees' food, entertainment, and comfort.
But these allowances are no longer being given to employees because of work from home. So the company saves a lot of money. However, Google plans to resume work from the office later this year. Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat has informed investors that the company is planning a 'hybrid' model with less employee space than before. Porat also said google would not want to reduce investment in real estate worldwide.
