NEW DELHI: After Apple launched its MR headset Vision Pro last week, internet searches for Mixed Reality (MR) shot up 1,130 percent globally on Google, according to a report released on Monday.

According to Digital-adoption.com's analysis of Google search data, on June 5, when Apple presented its new $3,499 MR headset at the Worldwide Developers Conference in California, the US, internet interest in "VR" increased by 300%.

After Apple revealed its Vision Pro headset, searches for "VR," "mixed reality," and "augmented reality" respectively increased by 300 percent, 1,130 percent, and 545 percent. 

"AI interest has increased significantly during the past year. When new AI technologies, such ChatGPT, have become widely available, Apple's debut of Vision Pro has caught audiences at the ideal time, according to a representative from Digital-adoption.com. The timing of Apple's announcement coincides with a historical high in online interest in Artificial Intelligence.

Since 2004, 'Artificial Intelligence'' search volume has increased by 619 percent, as per Google Trends statistics.

The number of searches has more than doubled from 17 million in January to 42 million in May, making this year a breakthrough year for AI. This is partially a result of the quick development and widespread use of accessible technologies like .

According to the description of the new technology, it is a step towards the "era of spatial computing," in which "digital content blends seamlessly with your physical space." According to the research, users looking to "Buy Apple stock" have gained 1,482% globally in the last seven days as a result of Apple's statement.

The company  said Apple Vision Pro can turn any room into a personal movie theatre with two ultra-high-resolution monitors and a screen that appears to be 100 feet wide.

EyeSight, another function of Apple Vision Pro, aids users in maintaining contact with individuals around them. Vision Pro feels transparent when worn, allowing the user to view approaching others while also showing their own eyes.
