Grup of scientists from the Future Cities Laboratory has manipulated 100,000 pictures to study the ecological balance of the Delhi and Shanghai. However, the experiment was performed in the restricted area.

To read the contribution of the trees in urban areas, scientists performed the experiment on the temperate zones of Europe and North America and then on the streets of the Delhi and Shanghai, where the total of 20 million people reside.

“In addition to cooling urban microclimates, these trees, which are integrated within dense urban street networks, also provide other benefits, such as reducing the risk of flash flooding and cleaning the air,” said Peter Edwards, Principal Investigator at the Future Cities Laboratory.
