USA: For its workspace applications including Docs and Sheets, Google has added new features and made some design adjustments. These features include variables, emoji voting chips, smart canvas functionality, custom building blocks, and more.
The user interface for Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive has been improved in addition to new features. The rollout of some new add-ons has begun.

As a result, tech giants frequently update the features and design of their productivity tools. The recently unveiled set of features will improve workflow efficiency and enable users to work more quickly and productively.
Working professionals often have to plan events, organize team invitations, jump start new projects, or create checklists for a product launch. People can now accomplish these tasks using the Smart Canvas features of Docs.
Custom Building Blocks is the first add-on on the list, which allows users to create their own reusable parts for specific tasks (such as project templates, checklists, or blocks of code) and access them from the @-menu. does.
Users can quickly work with teams to create event invitations using the new calendar invitation template. Through "Calendar Drafts", which is located under Building Blocks, they can draft calendar invitations in Docs. Workflow is streamlined by variables for more comprehensive communication, invoices and contracts.

They will enable users to define placeholders in advance and dynamically insert them from a central location, such as "Client Name/Return Address."
Emoji Voting Chips is another add-on for Docs that gives teams a way to express themselves and quickly build consensus in a collaborative document. Simply enter your favorite emoji using the "@-voting chip" symbol.
Additionally, Google has added third-party smart chip capabilities, giving workspace apps direct access to more data. It collects data/previews from third-party applications such as Tableau, Figma, Asana, Atlassian, Zendesk and Atlassian.
Users can access context-relevant data directly from Sheets using Smart Chips. Google has now detailed the types of data and information you can use in Workspace apps to further your projects.
For more efficient project management, you can now import data from smart chip data extraction into Sheets about people, files, events, new date shortcuts, relevant locations, and financial-based entities (@-mention company/stocks, using etc.)

To further streamline daily workflow, Google has also enhanced the user interface across Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive. The tech giant has updated the toolbar grouping, simplified the user interface, visually improved the rulers and comments, and hidden the companion bar.
You can quickly download, share, and delete multiple files at once using Drive. Now there are search chips that allow you to filter by various criteria.
