Indore: In view of the rising graph of crime even after the implementation of the police commissionerate, a heavy police force was seen on the streets from 11 pm to 3 am on Tuesday. Combing patrolling was carried out in 32 police station areas of the city as part of Operation Prahar. Due to this, more than 1757 gangsters were caught. Amidst the ongoing incidents of murder, stabbing and looting, the police launched a Dhar Pakad operation in each police station area as part of Operation Prahar. Police teams moved around in each police station area. On the other hand, about 8 police station in-charges who went home ahead of night patrolling and premature visits from March 1 to 10 have been identified. Who will be called to the control room and an explanation will be sought.
According to reports, Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra had convened a meeting at the police auditorium on Tuesday afternoon to check the rising crime and to teach a lesson to the goons. In which all the police officers joined. On the directions of Commissioner Mishra, the overall strike campaign against the goons started after 11 p.m. Police from all the police stations were present on the streets till late at the night. The senior officials themselves went to many places and nabbed the culprits. Due to this, the police also raided the drug dens, i.e. pubs, which are populated in the city till late at night.
The captain of the four zones of Indore was instructed to attack the miscreants. A list of warranties issued by the court was also given. Police teams had left with the officers together after 10 p.m. In the pubs, the policemen jumped in the gates and entered. The house of the goons was raided by the miscreants. Some criminals were found sleeping in the house. They were brought to the police station at night and paraded. Dossiers have also been filled. Due to the combing operation, 1002 warrants were executed. In which 153 permanent, 208 arrests, 313 bailable warrants and 328 public summons were also issued. The action was also taken against 28 offenders in the Excise Act, 39 in the Arms Act, 05 in the Gambling Act and 06 offenders for drugging illicit drugs. A total of 329 offenders were taken against 59 offenders in 110 CRPC, 101 in 151 and 169 in 107/16 CRPC.
