Gorakhpur: In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, the water level of Rapti river was found 70 cm above the danger mark on Monday. Due to this, the flood crisis has deepened. Flood waters have penetrated all areas including North and South Kollia, Domingarh, Ghunghun Kotha, Uttarasot, Manjharia and Kathur. The houses in North and South Baharampur are full of water. The crisis has increased further. There is tremendous pressure on the dams. There is a crisis of harvesting in urban areas.

The work of releasing water from the Valmiki barrage of the same Gandak river is going on continuously. Just this Monday, 1,72,200 cusecs of water has been released from the barrage. The result of this is that the rivers continue to rise. Rapti, Ghaghra, Gorra and Rohin rivers are flowing above the crisis mark. Flood waters have entered 80 villages of Campierganj, Sahajanwan, Gorakhpur city, Khajni and Gola tehsil areas. 21 villages are completely surrounded by flood water.

Also, the crops have been submerged and destroyed. Now there is an option of going and going by boat. People from these areas have come to the dams with cattle. Rain water is also coming into the rivers from different sources. Even though the water level of the Ami river is not measured, but this river destroys the crops. This river also affects the population. Rainwater is also collected in the same urban and rural areas. In Nausad Bagaha Baba temple and Haraiya, tube of vehicles has to be built by moving boats. The same problems are with all the mohallas in the district. There is still water in various areas of constellations, Sainik Vihar and Sainik Kunj. This type of situation can create more crisis.
