New Delhi: The government is constantly trying to give relief to the troubled people amidst the rising havoc of Corona. The effort of all government organizations is that people do not have problems with money. Under this, earlier the withdrawal of funds from the PF was allowed, now partial withdrawal has also been allowed from the New Pension Scheme (NPS).
About 1.35 crore NPS account holders can take advantage of this. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on Friday said that NPS account holders will be allowed partial withdrawal for expenses related to treatment of coronavirus. According to the news agency PTI, PFRDA said in a circular addressed to all the shareholders and account holders under the National Pension Scheme (NPS), 'The Indian government has declared the coronavirus an epidemic. It has been decided to declare Corona a serious disease, which is fatal. Therefore, NPS account holders will be allowed partial withdrawal for the treatment of the disease.
The PFRDA said that this permission will be given for the treatment of account holders, their spouse, children, dependent parents, if needed. PFRDA has clarified that the facility of partial withdrawal will not be available to the account holders of Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
