Patna: Today, Anti-Drug Day was observed in Bihar. Due to this, the state CM Nitish Kumar announced that the Bihar government will give Rs 1 lakh to those who leave the liquor business to earn a living. CM Nitish Kumar said that this scheme will be applicable not only to liquor but toddy sellers as well, if they leave the toddy business and do the business of making neera.

The CM said that arrests are being made in the case of liquor in Bihar, but those who drink are being arrested. The Chief Minister said that the arrests of those who do liquor business are decreasing in the state. Raising the question, Nitish Kumar said where is the real businessman caught? He doesn't come out. Home delivery is done by sending poor people out. No need to catch the poor. We have brought this scheme for the poor who sell a little liquor or toddy.

Tell that there is a liquor ban in Bihar since 2016. Since then, 4 lakh people have been arrested under this law. In the same month, while reviewing the liquor ban, CM Nitish Kumar had asked the prohibition department to arrest those who do liquor business instead of those who drink liquor. Cases of liquor keep coming to the fore from Bihar. Such news raises questions about the policy of the Bihar government. If the Bihar Police takes continuous action in this matter, poor people are arrested. To avoid this, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has made this announcement. Along with this, CM of the state Nitish Kumar also tweeted in this matter that on the occasion of drug addiction day, let us take a pledge to get rid of all kinds of drugs and discharge our role in building a drug-free society for a prosperous, healthy and happy Bihar.
