The Central Government has again changed the Covid Protocol amid the second wave of covid infection in the country. The Central Government has said that the Covid-19 infection is transmitted by air. The information released by the government on Wednesday also covers new WHO guidelines. In addition, the Government has advised about the medicines being used during the treatment of the disease. It may be recalled that the partial lockdown of strict restrictions in various states seems to have brought the infection rate under control, but the mortality rate still remains alarming.

Be careful on steroids: It has been revealed that the government incorporated WHO information into the new corona protocol. It said that SARS COV-2 is growing by air. In addition, the new rules have suggested proper use of steroids, remdesivir tosilizumeb medicine. The Government has asked for judicious use of these medicines to avoid complications after recovering from the disease. Notably, experts have warned that excessive consumption of steroids increases the black fungus crisis.

Black fungus has also been on the rise: It should not be forgotten that the number of mucomycosis patients is continuously increasing in the country. In many States including Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, this rare fungal infection has been named as epidemic. The situation is so alarming that after Black, white yellow fungus is also available. Recently, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has also opined for judicious use of steroids. The Health Ministry has said that the recovery rate in the country has gone up to 89.66 per cent. The weekly positivity rate is 1.45 per cent at 9.42 per cent per day. The positivity rate has remained below 10 per cent for two consecutive days, which is a good sign.
