"CAC unable to handle situations in the absence of Parrikar": Govind Gawade

GOA: On Thursday, art and culture minister of Goa, Govind Gawade is not satisfied with the guide formed by the state administration in the absence of CM Manohar Parrikar. The minister said that the Cabinet Advisory Committee (CAC) is "not in a position to handle the situation".
According to the reports, Parrikar in present in the US for his treatment for a  pancreatic ailment. He left India in the first week of March. Before leaving, Parrikar had informed governor Mridula Sinha about the interim arrangement of CAC. The committee includes Vijai Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party, Francis D'Souza of the BJP and Sudin Dhavalikar of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party.
Gawade is an independent legislator from Priol in north Goa who had supported the formation of a Parrikar government in March last year. He said that it was obvious that it is going to be "difficult" to run the government in the chief minister's absence.

"It is obvious that we are feeling his absence. The Cabinet Advisory Committee is not in a position to handle the situation," he stated.

Gawade said the situation would be normal only after Parrikar returned to Goa and took over the reins of the government.
