Govinda needs no introduction. He is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. He is also famous for his dancing skills. He has given several hits in Bollywood. He is celebrating his birthday Today. On his Birthday have a  look on his journey full of struggles.

Govinda's father Arun Kumar Ahuja was a famous artist in his time. He also worked in 30-40 films. While Govinda's mother Nirmala Devi was a classical singer, who used to sing in films. Govinda is a commerce graduate and was looking for jobs in many places before becoming an actor. In the 80's he first got an advertisement for a company called Alvin and after that he never stopped. In the year 1986, his first film 'Ilzaam' was released and he became famous on the big screen.

Govinda has reached this platform with Hard work. His life was full of struggle. Once speaking about his condition Govinda said there was a time when he used to cry as he was not able to afford Ration. He said, 'The tradesman used to keep me standing outside his shop for hours because we did not pay for the ration I used to buy. Once I refused to go to the shop. Then my mother started crying and I too started crying.”

Govinda has given various hits in his career including Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Deewana Mastana, Bade Miya Chote Miya, Hero No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Dulara, Shola Aur Shabnam, Dulhe Raja, Haseena Maan Jayegi are some of the films that proved to be blockbusters one after the other. At that time, if there was a huge crowd of people in the theatre, then the audience would understand that Govinda's film is on.
