Ban on international flights extended till 31 July, government issued circular

New Delhi: The government has decided to extend the ban on international flights till 31 July due to the cases of increasing corona infection in the country. Earlier in the order, it was said that the movement of international flights in India will not be allowed until July 15. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said on Friday that it is extending the suspension (cancellation) of international passenger flights in the country till July 15, but some international services on select routes can be granted depending on the situation.

Government has issued a circular today (on 3 July) saying that the order of 26 June has been amended. It has been decided to increase the ban on international flights till July 15 by July 31. The movement of international commercial passenger services from India will be restricted until 11.59 pm on July 31, 2020.

The circular further states that these bans will not be applicable to international cargo operations and flights approved by DGCA. Due to Coronavirus, international flights have been closed since March 31. International passenger flights may be allowed on select routes depending on the conditions.
