Government Panel says, 'Corona will be continued till February'

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing corona epidemic in the country, a government panel appointed by the Central Government has said that India has crossed the peak level of the coronavirus. The panel claims that by February 2021, the epidemic will cease. However, the possibility of a second wave of infection during wintertime cannot be ruled out. These things were said by NITI Aayog member VK Paul.

Paul is also the chairman of the expert panel set up to coordinate efforts to combat the epidemic. However, the group cautioned that we would still have to follow security measures. The panel says that by February, the total corona cases in India will cross the figure of 1.5 million. At present, the total number of corona infected in India is around 7.5 million. In the country, 61, 871 new cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported in the last 24 hours on Sunday while 1033 people have lost their lives.

A total of 62,212 new cases were registered in the 24 hours a day, while 837 people lost their lives. In the last 24 hours, 72 thousand 614 people have recovered from this epidemic. Now the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 74 lakh 94 thousand, 551. Of these, only 7 lakh 83 thousand 311 are active cases.
