"Govt stressed holistic approach to improving health sector": PM Modi

Navsari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the central government has taken a holistic approach to developing the country's health sector, adding that in the last eight years, it has attempted to modernise facilities.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the AM Naik Healthcare Complex and the Nirali multi-specialty hospital in Navsari, Gujarat.

He noted in his remarks at the time, "We have emphasised a holistic approach to developing the country's health sector during the last eight years. We attempted to modernise the treatment facilities while simultaneously emphasising subjects such as better nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and health prevention."

PM Modi had earlier in the day participated in the 'Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan' at Navsari.

He emphasised Gujarat's progress, calling it the state's "pride" in terms of rapid development over the last two decades.

He remarked in his remarks at the time, "Gujarat's quick development over the previous two decades has been a source of pride for the state, resulting in development for everybody and a new goal. This magnificent legacy is being faithfully continued by the double engine government."
