As the 'Pran Partishtha Day' approaches, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that a spectacle of 100 chartered planes is slated to touch down at the recently inaugurated Ayodhya airport on January 22.

Highlighting the significance of the event, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked, "On January 22nd, around 100 chartered planes will descend upon Ayodhya to participate in the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple. This momentous occasion will also serve as a test for the capabilities of the Ayodhya airport."

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bestowing Uttar Pradesh with its fourth international airport, the CM added, "The Ayodhya airport, inaugurated on December 30th, marks a milestone in our state's aviation infrastructure."

Earlier, on December 30th, PM Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya Airport, emphasizing the connection between Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana and knowledge. The first phase of the airport, developed at a cost exceeding ₹1,450 crore, can handle 10 lakh passengers annually. After the second phase, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is expected to cater to 60 lakh commuters each year.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia virtually launched the first tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya, with UP CM Yogi Adityanath receiving the inaugural boarding pass. Minister Scindia shared, "PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Ayodhya Airport and Railway Station on December 30. We initiated the first flight between Ayodhya and Delhi, and today we are connecting Ayodhya with Ahmedabad."

Looking ahead, Minister Scindia disclosed plans for five additional airports in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot by next year. He added, "Uttar Pradesh had only six airports in 2014, and now the state boasts 10 airports, including Ayodhya airport. By next year, UP will welcome five more airports, with an international-level airport ready in Jewar by year-end."

To ensure the safety and smooth flow of the anticipated influx of visitors, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented an advanced security and traffic management plan. The Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS), linked to 1500 public CCTV cameras, will enable vigilant surveillance. Ayodhya's yellow zone will feature 10,715 AI-based cameras with face recognition technology, integrated with ITMS and monitored from a central control room.

In a strategic move, the city's security measures will be further reinforced by the deployment of teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). Regular boat patrols, equipped with safety measures such as life jackets and mandatory ID cards, will be conducted by SDRF teams to ensure waterway safety and prohibit any form of intoxication.
