Hyderabad: Counting of votes for Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Election (GMCH) continues. So far, trends of 10 seats have been found, out of which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken the lead in 7, while the account of Owaisi's party AIMIM's account has not been opened. The Telangana National Committee (TRS) is leading in three seats. The main contest in this election is between AIMIM, BJP and TRS.

The BJP campaigned here by Home Minister Amit Shah, the party's current national president JP Nadda and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Voting was held here on December 1, in which only 34.50 lakh (46.55%) out of 74.67 lakh voters exercised their franchise. There were 1122 candidates for the total one hundred and fifty seats. Owaisi's party in Hyderabad is dominated by AIMIM, but the way BJP contested this election was discussed all over the country and now the results are awaited.

TRS is in possession of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, which has 99 seats, AIMIM has 44 seats and BJP has 4 seats. The Congress won 2 seats and the TDP won. TRS is currently in Telangana. It is being said that the results here can also decide the direction of the 2023 assembly elections.
