Baba Sitaram, a resident of village Khora Barrack of Jaitpur tehsil of Shahdol district, built his ashram in this rugged forest in the year 2013 to indulge in happiness, peace and devotion to God. Baba says that he was absorbed in singing hymns with musical instruments in his ashram one day. As soon as Baba's eyes opened, he saw a group of bears enjoying the bhajan peacefully outside the ashram. With courage, Baba also gave offerings to the bears. Since then, this trend has been going on till today. Hearing Baba's musical instruments and hymns, the bears come out of their cave and run. There is also a special thing that bears never enter inside the hut of Baba's ashram. For the last eight years, a fumigation has been burning in Baba's ashram. Baba loves bears during Puja lessons. Baba has also named the members of the group of these bears. They call the male bear as red and the female as Lalli. They have named the cubs Chunnu and Munnu. Baba told that leave the time of worship, then the rest of the time they behave like violent animals in the forest. There is a danger in going close to their cave.
