New Delhi: At Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, one of the busiest railway stations on the Delhi-Howrah railway line, the GRP has caught a man who, along with his other colleagues, used to make young innocent children steal mobile phones from the passengers. According to GRP, this gang used to supply stolen smartphones in Bangladesh via Malda Town.

GRP has received 53 expensive smartphones from this young man named Imam, a resident of Kaliachak in Malda Town district of West Bengal. Their price is said to be around 11 lakh rupees. According to the GRP, the arrested youth and his gang used to make small children in the districts of Purvanchal in UP to commit the crime of mobile theft. These small children used to get mixed up in crowded places like railway station and bus stand etc. and used to clean hands on people's mobiles as soon as they got the chance.

The GRP arrested the young man from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction when he was trying to catch a train and go to Malda Town. GRP seized the mobile phone and arrested the young man. GRP has now started searching for other members of this gang.
