Modi govt receives money, GST collection breaks all records in July 2021

July 2021 has been a great month in terms of the tax income of the Central Government. 1,16,393 crore in July 2021 from the Goods and Services Tax to the exchequer of the Modi government at the Centre. Compared to the month of July last year, the GST collection has increased by 33 percent. This includes Rs.285.41 crore as State GST, Central GST rs.22,897 crores, and IGST Rs.57,864 crore.

77.90 crore in July with the help of cess in the same GST, out of which Rs.8.15 crore has been received from cess on imported goods. The collection of GST has been done through filing 3b GSTR in the month of July. IGST and Cess collected on imported goods in the month of July have also been included in the collection.

If we talk about the participation of GST received from the states in July, Maharashtra has been the topper head in the country in terms of it. Maharashtra has given a GST of Rs 18,900 crore to the Central Government in July. Maharashtra's GST collection has increased by 51% over July last year. Thereafter, Tamil Nadu has given a GST collection of Rs.6300 crores, 36 percent more than last year. Gujarat's participation has been around Rs 7630 crore, while UP has contributed Rs 6011 crore to the GST collection. The participation of states like West Bengal, Odisha, and Telangana has also been good in the GST collection.
