Ahmedabad: A shocking case has come to light in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Here, a woman doctor has hanged herself in her own house. Police are currently investigating the case and are yet to ascertain the exact cause of the suicide. She has a seven-year-old baby girl. She was reportedly in depression.

The doctor has been identified as Manisha Chauhan and was a professor of microbiology at Gujarat Cancer Society Medical College. It is being speculated that depression may have caused self-immolation. However, the real reason will be revealed only after investigation. Dr. Manisha's husband Dr. Nilesh Chauhan is an assistant professor at GMEIS Medical College. According to police, the two of them had a long conversation on the first night of the incident. By five in the morning, they were talking and then went to sleep. When the husband woke up in the morning, he found that she was not in the room. When he went to the bathroom, he saw her hanging from the snare with a scarf in his hanger. He then informed Manisha's brother about it.

Police said that when the woman doctor's brother reached there, he noticed that she was lying down in the bathroom. They then informed the police. Police sent the body for postmortem. Her brother explained that the relationship between husband and wife was very good. There was no domestic problem in their house.
