Ahmedabad: A very strange case has emerged from Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Here a person called his official telemedicine helpline number 1100 and complained about his wife and said that she is using water very much these days. When the doctor on the other side of the phone asked, what is the problem? So the person replied that his wife empties a 500-litre water tank every day. Not only this, but she also washes the entire house thrice. She cleans the cupboard, table, storage box and even shoe rack many times.

The person said on the phone that his wife is doing such strange acts due to the fear of Coronavirus. He was forced to ask for help at the helpline only after neighbours started complaining to him in this regard. Ramashankar Yadav, a psychiatrist concerned with the helpline, said that the person seemed very upset. His wife was not allowing anyone to come into the house. He also had to stay at home with very rigorous discipline. Even if he went to meet a neighbour, his wife would force him to take a bath when he came home.

Doctors say that this is not a normal thing, but the woman was showing symptoms of an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She is not the only one to undergo such mental condition in lockdown because of Corona, but many such cases have been seen in the state. In which during the lockdown, people have called the helpline and complained about anxiety and depression.
