Gujarat Assembly Polls: the First phase proved defeat of Congress

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], December 11 (NT): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated the defeat of Congress is proved after the first phase of voting in Gujarat Assembly Polls.

Talking at a public meeting here, RajnathSingh stated, "Congress has acknowledged their defeat just after the first phase of voting here. Nobody can rebuff the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made sure that, worldwide, Gujarat is renowned as one of the most urbanized and progressive states of India.

Singh added that people were aware of the consequences one has to face for joining with Congress.

"One latest example is Uttar Pradesh, where a well-built and stable Samajwadi Party has to meet such doom," Singh stated.

Singh also stated Congress leaders were the victim of insomnia and that was why they were experiencing phantasm by that they were unable to see 'Vikas' (development) in Gujarat.

 In Gujarat, 66.75 percent turnout in 89 out of 182 constituencies in the first round of polling was seen.

The second phase of the Polls will be done on December 14, and the counting of votes will be counted on December 18. (NT)
