Miscreants attack over people seeking donations for Ram Temple

Gandhinagar: In the last few days, there have been reports of attacks from several states of the country on Hindu activists seeking donations for the Ram Mandir Sankalp Nidhi. After Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the latest case has come from Kutch in Gujarat, where there was a clash between two communities in Kidana village of Gandhidham, which turned into riots. The incident happened last Sunday evening when Hindu activists had come to collect donations for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Talking to media, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) VR Patel of Gandhidham said that this is a case of clashes between the two groups and the police have reached the spot and controlled the situation. Police said that further investigation is being made in the case. Police further said that the clash began after stone pelting by some miscreants on Ram Rath Yatra in the village, which turned violent.

The police has started the process of making many of the two groups the rest. In charge of B Division police station, Sumit Desai said that the police is still busy writing a complaint and the number of injured in the incident could not be estimated. The process of registering FIR is being completed. According to local media, the situation became so fierce that it turned into a riot.
