AHMEDABAD: Scientists around the world are engaged in finding new ways to fight the coronavirus. Meanwhile, scientists in Gujarat have made a major breakthrough in the fight against the coronavirus. Scientists at Gujarat Biotechnology Research Center (GBRC) have found the complete genome sequence of the coronavirus. Chaitanya Joshi, director of the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Center, gave this information.
The Chief Minister's Office of Gujarat has also tweeted about this. It is written in the tweet that we are proud of the scientists of GBRC. The entire genome sequence of the coronavirus has been discovered for the first time in a lab of any state of the country. Giving information, Chaitanya Joshi said that we took the virus jeans from the body of several coronavirus infected patients in Gujarat. DNA test of about 100 samples was done, then it was successful.
The genome sequence will reveal many important things about the origin of the coronavirus, making drugs, preparing vaccines, targeting the virus and destroying the virus. He said that there have been 9 changes in the coronavirus. This will make it easier to make a corona vaccine.
