​Gujarat Congress spokesperson Rekhaben Chaudhary on Sunday quit her primary membership of the party.The reason behind Chaudhary's resignation is not yet clear. Media reports suggest that she is unhappy with the ticket distribution.The resignation of Congress spokesperson Rekhaben comes a few days before the Gujrat assembly Elections. Party in trouble ahead of Assembly elections?

Similarly happened on Bharti Janta party on November 22 a senior leader and former MP Kanjibhai Patel resigned from the party along with his son, Sunil Patel.Both parties continue to announce their list of candidates. The Congress has announced its nominees for 166 of the 182 seats. The BJP, on the other hand, has announced nominees for 148 seats.

The Congress is all set in Gujrat assembly election with the BJP. The Grand Old Party is now looking to improve on past their work and increase its share of both votes and seats ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s as party president. For the BJP, the election seems to be turning into a reputation battle with the assumption of the party base the prime concern.The elections in Gujrat assembly elections will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14.The result will be announced on December 18
