Ahmedabad: Voting for the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections has been completed. Now political parties are trying to woo the people for the second phase of polling to be held on Monday (December 5, 2022). Meanwhile, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who is doing a door-to-door campaign in Ahmedabad, had to face heavy opposition. People showed black flags to Owaisi who was campaigning. Not only this, but people were also shouting slogans against him. It is being told that these people were Congress supporters and were raising slogans against Owaisi.

According to reports, Owaisi had gone to campaign in a Muslim-dominated area near Shahpur Mill Compound in Ahmedabad. Asaduddin Owaisi was campaigning for AIMIM candidate Sabir Kabaliwala from Jamalpur on foot. During this time he was accompanied by hundreds of supporters. Meanwhile, suddenly the locals started opposing Owaisi. Slogans of 'Owaisi Go Back' were also raised and black flags were shown to them. It is being claimed that the locals also raised slogans in favor of the Congress.

This is not the first time Asaduddin Owaisi has faced public opposition in Gujarat. Earlier also, Owaisi was heavily opposed in many Muslim-dominated areas of Gujarat. About two weeks ago, Muslim youths in Surat East had shown black flags at Owaisi's public meeting. Earlier on Friday (December 02, 2022), AIMIM chief Owaisi started crying during a rally in the same assembly constituency (Jamalpur). Owaisi was crying and praying to Allah to make his candidate win.
