Gujrat police busted human trafficking in Gujarat, police rescues 125 children

Surat: Human trafficking racket has been busted from Puna area of Surat city of Gujarat. The raids have been unearthed by the Rajasthan and Surat police after a raid of ten days. Also, more than 125 children brought from villages in Rajasthan have been freed. The fact that these children are being wagered for value addition on saris and dress materials has been revealed in the investigation.

According to the information, the Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Bachpan Bachao NGO was informed that human trafficking is being brought to Surat from the villages of Rajasthan-Gujarat border villages. Many of these children are being given wages in different societies of Poona region. Based on this information, the raids were executed on Sunday morning by Delhi Police, Central IB team, Rajasthan and Surat Police and NGO officials.

The police have rescued 125 children brought to labor by raiding the Haridham Society and Vivekananda Society of Poona. Along with this, some people who have got wages from these children and brokers in custody have also started legal action against them. According to the police, these children were getting the value addition done on saris and dress materials. The age of all children is stated to be between 10 and 16 years.
