Surat: Citizen authorities in Surat, Gujarat, have shared data on corona virus spreading to children. According to which, children under the age of 10 in Surat city are being tortured more than the second wave of epidemics than before. More than 560 children up to 10 years of age were affected during the first wave of the corona epidemic, but cases have almost tripled with about 1,700 children affected during the second wave.

However, no deaths have been reported in the children yet. In fact, this data has been extracted keeping in mind the possibility of children becoming more infected when the third wave arrives. However, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director, Delhi AIIMS had recently said that the apprehensions are not based on facts. SMC Commissioner B N Pany said that the cases of corona virus infection in minors this year are higher than last year.

He explained that children who were infected have now recovered. Paediatrician Dr Ketan Bhardwaj said he has seen several minors who were infected and had mild symptoms, which led to their treatment on the basis of symptoms.
