AHMEDABAD: Two prominent Congress politicians have said that they are leaving the party and joining the BJP next month after feeling marginalised, disgruntled, and unhappy with the state leadership. They are inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development initiatives.

Former secretary of state for housing and three-term Congress member from Mehsana district's Vijapur assembly seat, Naresh Rawal, said, "I have a lot of issues with the party, but now is not the time to discuss them all. Instead, I've decided to bid the party "Jai Hind." I'll soon be joining the BJP, and I'll carry out whatever tasks that are assigned to me by the party's leadership."

According to reports, Raju Parmar, a former Rajya Sabha member and leader of the Congress, "I never asked the party for any positions or favours, and unfortunately, party is not giving an opportunity to repay the party debt. Many more senior leaders are going to quit soon."

"Both of them are senior leaders, and the party gave them several chances. Naresh Rawal was appointed minister of state for the home and briefly served as opposition leader. He was a five-term assembly candidate who won three elections. If they have any grievances that should have been discussed within the party, their leaving will have an impact on the party's image and develop anti-party perception, according to Raju Parmar, who was sent three times to the Rajya Sabha and appointed chairman of the Scheduled Caste Commission "Arjun Modhvadia, a senior congressman, has this opinion.
