Satyam, an aerospace engineering student studying at IIT Madras, was given the facility of a car ride from Ekta Nagar railway station to Vadodara station by the railways. It took about 2 hours for this. His train was cancelled due to heavy rains in the city. Satyam had booked a ticket for the train from Ekta Nagar to Vadodara. From there he had to travel further to Chennai. But due to heavy rains, the railway track in Ekta Nagar was submerged in water, due to which the railways had to cancel the train.
Thereafter, the railway officials decided to take the student Satyam to Vadodara by train immediately so that he could catch his train. Satyam, a student, said, "The train that I had booked was scheduled to run from Ekta Nagar, but due to waterlogging on the track due to rain, the train was cancelled at the last minute. But because of the supportive staff of Ekta Nagar, they rented a car for me. This shows how much importance they are giving to every passenger of the railways.''
