Two firefighters were injured in a fire in a clothes mill in Surat city of Gujarat. An officer gave this information on Monday. Raju Gaikwad, a divisional officer of the southern areas (firefighting), said the fire broke out around 10 pm on Sunday night at a factory located on the third floor of the Prerna Mill in the Pandesara industrial area of Surat.
As for this, he told that about 15 fire tenders were sent to the spot to extinguish the fire and the fire was controlled till about two o'clock late in the night. "More than 12 personnel were present inside the factory, who were evacuated safely," the official said. Two firefighters were injured due to an explosion in the device used to extinguish the fire.
He said that one of the injured has suffered a fracture. He has been admitted to the hospital. At the same time, he said that the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
