The gunmen attacked a school in northeastern Nigeria and kidnapped 39 students. Officials gave this information on Friday. A few weeks ago, a similar incident of mass kidnapping was heard in the area. Police said gunmen carried out the kidnapping on Thursday night at the 'Federal College of Forestry Mechanization' located in the Afka area of Kaduna state.

23 girls involved: It has been learned that Samuel Kruvan, Commissioner in the Ministry of Home Affairs of Kaduna State, said in a statement, "The number of missing students is 39, out of which 23 are girls and 16 boys." While continuing his talk, he has further said that many employees of the school have also been abducted. Aruvan said a large group of armed bandits attacked, and the army also retaliated and rescued 180 staff and students.

Search operation of security forces: It is also being said that some students are injured who are being treated in the military hospital. Aruwan said that security forces are making efforts to locate the missing students. UN spokesman Stephen Dujarric said that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the incident and asked the hostages to leave immediately.
