Nanak Dev worked for the good of others all his life. He always removed the increasing evils and evils in society and worked to make the life of the individuals pleasant. Nanak Dev was the first Guru of Sikhs:-
Guru Nanak was the first Guru of the Sikhs. It was he who laid the foundation of the Sikh community. Nanak was born on April 15, 1469, at Talwandi, now at Nankana Sahib in Pakistan's Punjab province. The name of this place was named after Nanak Dev. The Gurdwara is still built at this place, known as Nankana Sahib. The gurdwara was built by Rajit Singh, the king of the Sikh Empire popularly known as Sher-e-Punjab. Even today many people come from far and wide to visit this gurdwara.
