Takht Sri Patna Sahib also known as Harmandir Sahib is gurudwara located in Patna, Bihar. It was done in the memory of the Guru Gobind Singh Ji the tenth guru of the Sikhs who was born on December 1666. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji the first Maharaja of the Sikh empire built it as well as numerous other Gurudwara around the Indian subcontinent.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born in Patna. He spent his childhood in the Patna Sahib before moving to Anandpur Sahib. Besides the born of the tenth guru, the first guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited Patna during Udasi the world journey, and the ninth guru Sri Tegh Bahadur Ji.

The Gurudwara which now commemorated Guru Gobind Singh Ji is also regarded as the holiest of all the five Takhts.

The history of Patna sahib begins in the nineteenth century, when Salis Rai Johri, a devoted follower of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, transformed his magnificent haveli into Dharamshala where Teg Bahadur also stayed there. Additionally, this is where Patna Sahib is presently situated. Maharaja Ranjit Singh oversaw the sacred shrine’s rebuilding in 1839 after it had been destroyed by fire.

When the state of Bihar was badly damaged by an earthquake in 1934, several areas of revered Gurudwara were also damaged. These areas were eventually repaired in 1954 and today's majestic Patna Sahib edifice offers a spectacular tale of architectural brilliance and sublime faith. The benevolent Harmandir Takht Patna Sahib Gurudwara is located in the area once known as Kaccha Farukh Khan which is now popularly known as Harmandir Gali.

Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Patna is one of the five Takhts (throne) of Sikhism. The architecture of Takht sir patna sahib reflects a blend of Hindu and Islamic styles as well as the unique Sikh style.

The main entrance of the Gurudwara building is through a large gateway Deorhi. The Deorhi is made of red sandstone and has intricate carvings and designs. The main prayer hall Darbar Sahib is on the first floor of the Gurudwara.

The main building of Takht Sri Patna Sabhib is a three-story white marble structure that has four entrances. Gurudwara is designed to be symmetrical and topped with a golden dome. The exterior walls of the Gurudwara are decorated with intricate designs and patterns which are carved into the marble.

The complex Takht Sri Patna Sahib comprises several buildings including the main Gurudwara Sahib, museum, library, hospital, langar ghar, and residential quarters.

The Gurudwara Museum displays a collection of artifacts related to Sikh history, Shrastra (weapons), manuscripts, and paintings. The museum also has a library that has a large collection path sahib, books, and manuscripts related to Sikhism. Hukumnamas" of Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Tegh Bahadur are preserved in a book, a sacred sword, a pair of sandals made of ivory, four iron arrows, and a cradle with gold-plated stands. The Gurudwara and the Museum provide a deep insight into the history of Sikhism in Eastern India.

The Takht Sri Patna Sahib Langar Ghar is a large hall where free meals are severed to all visitors, regardless of their religion or social status. Langar Ghar is designed to be a place where people of all backgrounds can come together and have a meal.
