Gwalior: Rain wreaked havoc in Madhya Pradesh in the early days of August. Flood like situation prevailed here and in view of this, relief rescue operations were carried out on a battle standing. In fact, the victims were rescued by setting up relief camps here, and then shelter homes were provided for them. However, amidst all this, the flood-affected poor from Gwalior district have complained. They said the administration made lewd jokes with them. In fact, they have been distributed torn old clothes, same-foot shoes, and bad stuff by the administration. The case is said to be from the Gwalior district.
In fact, on August 24, BJP MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar had reached Nazarpur village to distribute relief material to the victims. It is being told that the administration distributed relief material from the MP, but now the victims reached the SDM office with a complaint. Victims say that torn old clothes, shoes, slippers, and other perishable items were distributed to them. The flood victims reached the SDM office complaining about the situation with them, and with this, they also took torn old clothes, footwear, and other materials with them. Not only this, but in the office itself, they piled up the whole stuff including torn clothes.
Talking about this, the flood-affected women said, "The administration has made lewd jokes with those poor people, it would have been better if they were not distributed at all. The shoes and slippers are distributed in such a way that the shoe and the slipper were found of the same foot in the pair of shoes and slippers, the other pair remained missing.'' At the same time, the women warned in the SDM office itself that 'unless the authorities resolve them, they will not leave.'
