LOS ANGELES: Gwyneth Paltrow has only been 50 for a little over a month, but she already loves this new decade.Paltrow said, "It's great."

"I feel really inspired by turning 50. I used to care so much what other people thought of me. Now I don't care. It's so nice. I think not caring what other people think means you're close to yourself."

"When I turned 40, I was a mess," said the ex-wife of Chris Martin who has two kids, Apple, 18, and Moses, 16. "I was really having a bit of a mid-life crisis around it," Paltrow said. "I also acknowledge I was in the middle of a big transition. I knew I wanted to leave a marriage (she split from Martin in 2016) and I knew I wanted to move back to the United States, so there was a lot going on with me." "I think that transition is especially hard for a woman because of what society tells us about turning 40 and that in some way when we lose reproductive viability

"I met Brad at a time when our values, what we wanted, and what we were interested in were all very similar, and we work very hard to keep it that way," Paltrow said.
