Begusarai: A major train accident was averted due to the driver's understanding in Begusarai, Bihar. It happened that the Amarnath Express train got lost. The express train was to go to Samastipur, but it was diverted towards Hajipur. However, after going 2 km ahead of the station, the driver found the route wrong, then he stopped the train and discussed it with the station master, then realized a big mistake.
It is being said that due to the negligence of the Assistant Station Master working at Bachwara Junction of Sonpur Railway Division, the direction of the Amarnath Express train changed, but due to the wisdom of the train driver, a major accident was avoided. Due to this incident, an atmosphere of panic was created among the officials and railway workers working at Bachwara Junction. According to the news received, train number (15653) Amarnath Express was going towards Jammu Tawi from Guwahati on Thursday morning. After opening from Barauni railway junction, this train goes to Jammu Tawi via Samastipur railway junction via Bachwara railway station, but due to the negligence of the station superintendent at Bachwara railway junction, the train went to Vidyapatinagar Hajipur line. When we crossed the outer off signal, the railway driver felt that we had lost our way, after that, The driver stopped the train and contacted the control room of Bachwara. Then it came to know that the train was going towards Hajipur Junction instead of Samastipur station.
The station superintendent contacted his higher officer and called the train again at Bachwara Junction, from where it was sent to Samastipur. When the passengers came to know about this, a situation of panic was created among them. Amarnath Express first departed from the platform of Bachwara Railway Junction at 5:15 am. At the same time, by about 6 o'clock, the train was brought back to Bachwara Junction and again sent to Samastipur. There was a delay of about 45 minutes in the arrival, return and departure of the train again for Samastipur. In this connection, Sonpur Railway Division's CPRO Virendra Kumar said that the Assistant Station Master had given the wrong route. Due to this, suspension action has been taken on the assistant station masters Kundan Kumar and Suraj Kumar on duty and the whole incident is being investigated. As soon as the matter came to light, the railway officials reached Bachwara Junction and started an investigation.
