Ranchi: The state got a new Haj house. The building was inaugurated by Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday. A number of dignitaries including Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, City development minister CP Singh, Social welfare minister Louise Marandi were present on the occasion. The Haj House has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 55 crore. It took about two and a half years to become the new building built in about 2200 sq m.

According to information, the Haj Committee chairman, including the State minority commission, Rizwan Khan, has also expressed gratitude to the CM for the Haj house. There are also two basements at the five-storey hajj house. There is a good provision of parking for trains of people who come to leave the Haj pilgrims. Together, 76 small trains and two buses can be parked in the basement. Around 1000 people will be able to offer prayers here.

With this, it will also provide training to Haj pilgrims, lodging and food etc. There is separate dormitory for the woman and the male. The first Hajj house was supposed to be 9-storey, but now it has been slashed to five-storey.
