Bhopal : Corona patients are getting above 50 in the capital of Madhya Pradesh since last days. At the same time, it is estimated by the Health Department that the number of corona infections may increase in July. Keeping this in mind, the number of beds for corona patients in Hamidia Hospital is also being increased. Currently, there is a facility to recruit 200 patients here. Within a week, 240 beds will increase. However these beds will be started in the new hospital building.
Preparations are being made to construct the covid Ward in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors of the 11-storey new hospital building of the big pond and the Hamidia Hospital being built. Apart from this, Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat had asked to increase the number of beds in the new hospital building during the review meeting of Hamidia Hospital last month. All necessary arrangements including electricity, water will be made in this building. However, no oxygen pipeline has been arranged in any of these floors here. Alternatively, oxygen is to be supplied from gas cylinders at present. About this time, the officials of Hamidia Hospital told that less serious patients will be kept here.
Superintendent of Hamidia Hospital, Dr. AK Srivastava told that the corona wards in the new hospital building will be started within a week. Currently, a 200-bed isolation ward has been made for corona patients in the hospital. At the same time, after the new ward starts, a total of 440 beds will be ready. If anything is needed even after this, then corona patients will be admitted to the TB hospital here. 100 beds have been prepared here. Apart from this, ventilators, oxygen and other arrangements will have to be made. It is known that 100 to 120 patients are admitted in the existing 200 beds in Hamidia Hospital.
