The upcoming Hampi Utsav, scheduled to span three days starting from February 2, 2024, promises a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to inaugurate this much-anticipated festival.

B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, the Housing Minister and Vijayanagar district in-charge Minister, expressed enthusiasm for the event. Khan conveyed instructions to the district administration, emphasizing the involvement of local artists to ensure a grand and culturally rich celebration. Furthermore, he announced plans for a forthcoming meeting that will gather all elected representatives, including legislators, to coordinate and prepare for the festival.

The Hampi Utsav, also known as the Vijaya Utsav, stands as a tribute to the ancient Vijayanagar empire, now known as Hampi. The festivities, held annually at the Virupaksha Temple, commemorate the rich culture and traditions of the bygone era. Against the backdrop of intricately carved ruins, visitors immerse themselves in the region's heritage through captivating folk song and dance performances. Noteworthy attractions include the Janapada Kalavahini, a folk song concert, and captivating light and sound shows, making the festival a must-attend event.
