Meanwhile on the hand some people are also criticizing it for comparing the lockdown with partition.

Trade Analyst,  Sumit Kadel took to the social media and wrote, “So #Bheed compares Covid Lockdown in India with Partition of India in 1947 .. Absolutely RIDICULOUS.. Wondering why our prominent production house & actors becomes part of #AnubhavSinha personal propaganda which brings hate for the industry.” “Because of such attempts, entire industry face wrath of common public…This provides wings to boycott & cancel culture. Sorry I don’t support this."

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta came out in support of the film and wrote, “So you’ve seen the film I suppose.” “You have right to show the plight of migrants during lockdown but u can't compare the pandemic with India Pak partition which happened on religion line. #AnubhavSinha is putting India in bad light through #Bheed & no nationalist with any political ideology should support this.”

Bheed teaser shows the visuals of people crowding the railway tracks and bus stops. The voiceover describes that this scenario is not from the Partition of India in 1947 but they are from the 2020 lockdown phase, when state borders were closed as a result of an increase in coronavirus cases across the nation. As a result, thousands of people were left stranded. It released with the tagline. Bheed also features Pankaj Kapur, Ashutosh Rana, Dia Mirza, Virendra Saxena, Kritika Kamra, and others. The film is set for a theatrical release on March 24, 2023.
