Anu Malik received his early education in music from Pandit Ram Prasad Sharma, then in 1981, he got the opportunity to give music in director Harmesh Malhotra's film "Poonam". He has given his music in many hit films like Baazigar ("Ye Kali Kali Aankhen, Baazigar O Baazigar, Aye Mere Humsafar").
