Ganesh Acharya was born on 14 June 1971 in Mumbai. His father Gopi was a choreographer of the Hindi cinema. At the age of just 12, he worked hard to open a dance academy and at the age of 19, he became an excellent dance choreographer. He made his Hindi cinema debut as a choreographer with the film Anam at the age of 21.
